More Than Just a Game

At the Y, youth sports are about more than scores and competition. Kids build skills they'll carry with them on and off the court, including:

  • Confidence - Try something new, make mistakes, and keep going.
  • Teamwork - Learn how to communicate, cooperate, and encourage others.
  • Sportsmanship - Learn how to compete with respect and support teammates.
  • Healthy Habits - Build a foundation of movement and physical activity that can last a lifetime.
  • Friendships - Meet new people and have fun as part of a team.
